Who are these Christians and why should I want to become a Christian?

People become Christians for many reasons but the vast majority find their way because something is missing in their lives. They are seeking to improve their quality of life. LOVE and HOPE can provide peace, serenity and a sense of fulfillment.

Becoming a Christian is all about believing, love and hope. It’s not about blindly believing and following but rather learning about The Bible and following the example of Jesus Christ. It’s about using your gut instincts about right and wrong, truth and good vs. evil.

If at any time you are asked to act in a manner contrary to what you believe, in your heart is good and right, then it is time to question your faith or the guidance you are receiving. It is perfectly ok to question, it’s our human nature and it prevents us from doing evil in the name of our God.

How Do I Become a Christian?

To become a Christian you need to simply put your faith in Jesus Christ. You should follow his ways and guidance.

Here is what is needed to become a Christian:

• Admit that you are a sinner.
• Believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins.
• Ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness and accept him as your Lord and Savior.

There are many variations of salvation prayers to become a new Christian. To receive all that Jesus has done for you and make Him your Lord and Savior, please pray:

"Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and Savior, now and forever. I believe that You rose from the dead and that You are alive today. Because of Your finished work, I am now a beloved child of God and heaven is my home. Thank You for giving me eternal life and filling my heart with Your peace and joy.  Amen." ¹
