Sometimes in their excitement and enthusiasm a Christian can seem overly pushy or persistent. The Bible clearly tells Christians to go out and spread God's word and the teachings of Jesus Christ. In trying their best to be a "good Christian" a person can be overly zealous and actually chase others away from Christian life. This pushing of beliefs on another person is not necessarily what Jesus meant for Christians to do. It is perfectly ok to tell people why you believe in Christianity but it is even more important to be a good example. When people see something they like they will actively pursue it. For example, if someone loses 15 lbs. and looks better and healthier it is common for others to ask how they did it and what diet they used. When a Christian shines with love, hope, humility and compassion for their fellow man it will be recognized and others will want to know their secret. Jesus Christ led his life on earth as an example of how man should follow in his footsteps. Our recommendation for Christian's is to go ahead and proclaim your love for Christ and Christian living but don't expect others to follow you unless you are a shining example of God's love.
